Who are we?
We are a Nicaraguan non-profit organization which is focused on the healthy living of the population of Ometepe Island primarily and also other areas of Nicaragua. Being healthy, under our concept, means a status of good physical, mental and social well-being. Our areas of focus are: Food security, poverty reduction, reduction of ecological risks, and promotion of cultural activities. They are addressed in order to achieve a better quality of life for the local people. We are located in Balgüe on Ometepe Island, Nicaragua, where our projects are planned and implemented.
Our mission is to develop and implement sustainable solutions responding to social, economic and environmental problems to achieve a positive state of physical, mental and social well-being of the people of Ometepe Island.
Our vision is to see the people of Ometepe Island living to their full potential regarding physical, mental and social health.
Our general objective is to improve the quality of life of the people on Ometepe Island, Nicaragua, through the implementation and promotion of prevention methods focused on healthy living, in order to achieve a positive state of physical, mental and social well-being.
